Buy dry alcohol directly from producer in Ukraine
Dry fuel or "dry alcohol" is produced in white tablets of various shapes, obtained by pressing a mixture consisting of hexamethylenetetramine (urotropin) - a white crystalline powder with a sweet-bitter taste. The chemical formula is C6H12N4
Urotropin dissolves in alcohol, water, methanol, chloroform, acetone. Does not dissolve in ether, evaporates when heated without melting. When burning, it forms a pale flame.
When dry alcohol tablets are burned, a yellow-blue flame without soot appears. Fuel retains its shape during combustion, does not spread during combustion and does not leave ash.
Production of urotropin is based on mixing formaldehyde with ammonia dissolved in water. The advantage of this material for use in the form of dry fuel is ease of use, transportation and long-term storage at humidity not higher than 75%. It is easy to light it with a match or a lighter, and to extinguish the flame, it is enough to block the access of oxygen.
The specific heat of combustion of dry alcohol is 31300 MJ/kg. It is often included in food rations issued to fighters, usually complete with a special metal stove that provides ease of use for cooking.
This material (urotropin) serves as fuel in small models of steam engines, and allows many types of chemical reactions to be carried out in the laboratories of educational institutions.
Before use, the tablet should be placed on a non-combustible surface: metal plate, ceramic tile, asbestos sheet. The most frequent use of dry alcohol is heating or cooking in the absence of other sources of fire in tourist trips, when deploying a tented camp by humanitarian or military organizations.
Due to the difficulty of adjusting the flame power, dry fuel is easier to heat than to cook food. To protect the fire from gusts of wind, it is enough to install any protective screen.
The disadvantages of this material include its cracking with sparks flying to the sides when the tablets are crushed. Due to the higher cost, this type of fuel is less common compared to gasoline or gas for use in derivative conditions.
Price for dry alcohol in Ukraine
The price policy is influenced by many factors - the price of raw materials, electricity costs, fuel prices, Ukrainian legislation, etc. Due to this, the cost of finished products may change. Our company keeps prices at a competitive level, so that quality products meet favorable prices for wholesale buyers.
Where to use dry alcohol?
1. For heating or cooking in the field by tourists, military and rescue organizations, in volunteer centers;
2. For lighting stoves, fireplaces, barbecues, bonfires when hiking and fishing;
3. As part of the army food ration, sometimes a metal compact stove is included in the kit for ease of use;
4. As fuel for miniature models of steam engines, chemical experiments in laboratories;
5. For heating furnaces, heating utility rooms, garages, cellars, warming the engine crankcase in winter, heating car candles, etc.
Storage of dry fuel
The company guarantees the quality and originality of chemical products.
Dry fuel is stored in rooms with a relative humidity of no more than 75%. The storage place must be inaccessible to children. Keep away from heating devices and sources of open flame.
The shelf life of dry fuel under appropriate conditions is not limited. One tablet burns in 9-14 minutes, depending on the geometric shape, weight of the tablet and degree of compression of the material.
When burning, the flame temperature reaches 900°С.
