This information is relevant only for wholesale and authorized partners of SMG.

SMG supports the warranty in accordance with all regulatory legal acts and laws valid in Ukraine, namely:

- Article 7, p. 1. of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Consumer Rights” (edition of 1.12.2005);

- Law of Ukraine "On Standardization;

- Civil Code of Ukraine;

- Commercial Code of Ukraine, and other regulatory legal acts containing provisions on the protection of consumer rights.

According to Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Consumer Rights" (2005 edition), the consumer has the right to exchange goods of proper quality within fourteen days, excluding the day of purchase, if:

a) the product is undamaged;

b) the product is unused;

c) the product you are returning is in its original packaging, complete and with all tags attached.

The warranty period for knives, multitools and tools is 12 months from the date of sale to the final customer.

During this time, the manufacturer (seller) undertakes to carry out free repair or replacement of the relevant product in connection with its introduction into circulation.

According to Article 7.p.1. "Warranty Obligations" of the Law of Ukraine

"On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Consumer Rights" (2005 edition), the manufacturer (contractor) ensures proper operation (application, use) of products, including product components, during the warranty period established by regulatory legal acts, regulatory documents or a contract.

For products whose life cycle has ended, i.e. at the time of purchase the model is discontinued and is not displayed in the main product catalog, as well as on the official website of the manufacturer, the warranty from SMG is not provided. All warranty obligations remain at the discretion of the seller of the product. We will consider all warranty applications, but reserve the right to refuse warranty service if more than 12 months have passed since the date of shipment to the store from the supplier's wholesale warehouse.

The warranty period for product components must be no less than the warranty period for the main product, unless otherwise provided by regulatory legal acts, regulatory documents or a contract.

Consumer rights in the event of purchasing goods of inadequate quality

(Article 8. of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Consumer Rights” (2005 edition):

1. In the event of defects being discovered during the established warranty period, the consumer, in accordance with the procedure and within the time limits established by law, has the right to demand:

1) a proportional reduction in the price;

2) free elimination of defects in the goods within a reasonable time;

3) reimbursement of the costs of eliminating defects in the goods.

2. In the event of detection during the established warranty period of significant defects that have arisen due to the fault of the manufacturer of the goods (seller, performer), or falsification of the goods, confirmed if necessary by an expert opinion, the consumer, in accordance with the procedure and within the terms established by law and on the basis of the rules or contract binding on the parties, has the right, at his choice, to demand from the seller or manufacturer:

1) termination of the contract and return of the amount paid for the goods;

2) demand replacement with the same or similar goods from among those available to the seller (manufacturer)

Please note that according to Article 7, Clause 2. of the Law of Ukraine

"On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Consumer Rights" (2005 edition), a store, online store, or other business entity that is a client of SMG, which provides a separate service under the warranty period on its own behalf, is independently responsible for:

-Warranty obligations in any case also include any obligations of the manufacturer (performer) or seller provided for in advertising.
